Summer is in full swing and the cutest bathing suits are making their way through our Pinterest board. I have been always into getting my summer staple bathing suit, and over the years my taste has changed from an itty bitty bikini from when I WAS itty bitty to a full coverage tankini with a tutu, yes a TUTU, from when I was pregnant with Angel.

Now that my style has evolved so has my choices in swimsuits. Today is 4th of July and it would almost be taboo if we didn't own an American flag swimsuit, but beyond today the summer heat continues and you have to be seen in the best style, for you.

Far too many times I have seen beautiful woman covered up to their neck in what now becomes a wet suit, simply to "cover up."Long ago I too found myself doing this , and that's when I set out to find styles that were beyond what was " on trend," but were styles that could still be "in trend."

A creative cut out is a fun and sassy way to make a statement. This style is best suited for our curvaceous ladies. For the most part it does the job of covering you up well, but each style can have its own way of playing peek-a-boo. A color change to a strategic cut out can make this look yours but be sure to find those that print and placement compliment each other. A little extra can look danceresque .

Its fun to play with two pieces because you can customize on how it can work with your body. Halter bikini seem to be a hot new trend that brings a cross between a deep water badass and a hottie lifeguard. This has become a modest way to show over that body that you have been working for, or for those who are looking to add to their features. A smaller bust that need much support therefor a halter top could be more alluring than an old school triangle on a string.
